A pair of sailor brothers, Chris (Bill Cord) and Lee (Don Durant), the latter a fugitive criminal, wash ashore on an island populated solely by women (seems there were a lot of those in the 50’s, sometimes whole planets) who dive for pearls and worship a tiki called Kangeroa, the shark god. “They’re all hepped up on that superstition thing.” says Chris. They both wear out their welcome pretty quickly, Chris by pitching woo (which is taboo) with Mahia (Lisa Monteil) and Lee by stealing pearls. They’ll soon discover which is more dangerous…the sharks or the pearl-diving wahinis….
