Wild Guitars,Devil Dolls,Rat Pfinks & Mixed Up Zombies

Ray Dennis Steckler was an auteur in the truest sense of the word. Nobody made ’em like Ray. Now, many may say “Thank God for that!”. I’ve said myself that he makes Ed Wood Jr. look like Stanley Kubrick…but I mean that in the most affectionate way. There’s a goofy charm and loopy logic to his movies…a sense of fun and play that you won’t find in austere Hollywood fare. You get the feeling he just gathered his friends in his backyard and said “Hey, kids! Let’s put on a show!” Like all truly independent filmmakers, he personified the DIY spirit: “I’m gonna take everything I’ve got, plus everything I can beg, borrow or steal…and do this my way.” Regardless of what you think of his films, you’ve gotta respect that.

See! See! See! : Wild Guitar, Rat Pfink a Boo Boo, The Thrill Killers, The Lemon Grove Kids Meet The Monsters, Sinthia The Devil’s Doll, The Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living And Became Mixed Up Zombies…

RAT PFINK: Remember Boo Boo…We have only one weakness.

BOO BOO: What’s that, Rat Pfink?

RAT PFINK: Bullets!

P.S.: Whatever happened to Atlas King?
